Clinical Test Expectation – Erythropoietin (EPO) – Human Subjects : Stimulates red blood cell production. Increased oxygen in the body. Treat certain forms of anemia
Strength – 3000iu per vial
Introduction
EPO is produced naturally in the body, mostly by the kidneys. It stimulates the bone marrow to produce red blood cells. If the body does not produce enough EPO, severe anemia can occur. This often occurs in patients with chronic kidney disease whose kidneys are not working properly. EPO has a long history of abuse in endurance sports. Blood doping involves the misuse of certain techniques and/or substances like EPO to increase one’s red blood cell mass, which allows the body to transport more oxygen to muscles and therefore increase stamina and performance.
